For authors
Get found by the readers next door.
LocalBooks is a directory of books by local authors. Readers find yours by genre, by your town, and on the map right where your story happens, then read it in a reader made for books.
How it works
List it
Add where you live and every place your story uses, upload your EPUB, and publish. Your first book is free.
Get found
Readers browse by genre, by where authors live and by where stories are set. Your book shows up on its towns’ pages, in search, and on the map.
Get read
Readers start with a free sample in our reader, set like a printed book. From your book’s page they can follow your links to buy it wherever you sell.
See what lands
With Echoes, readers react to the lines they love: moved, laughed, wow, nailed it. You see which chapters and passages land. Never who.
Get a trailer
Write one sentence about your book. It becomes a 10-second trailer that plays inside other books here while people read, and readers can save your book from it.
Your readers stay private, and so do you
Echoes and trailer numbers are counts only. No one sees who reacted or who saved a book, and readers’ highlights and notes are never shared, not even with you.
Your first book is free.
Listing takes a few minutes: the book’s details, your places, your EPUB.
