Sons and Lovers

In a Nottinghamshire mining village, Gertrude Morel pours the love her hard-drinking collier husband cannot hold into her sons. As Paul grows up to paint, work in a Nottingham factory office and court two very different women, his mother's devotion becomes the bond he can neither keep nor break.
