## Description

William Dean Howells remembers growing up in Hamilton, Ohio, in the 1840s, the place he calls simply the Boy's Town: the Great Miami River and the canal, swimming holes and fishing, school fights, circuses, Fourth of July cannons, and the strange private laws of boyhood. Written for young readers, and for anyone who grew up in a small Ohio town.
