# Andrew Lang

Andrew Lang (1844–1912) was born in Selkirk in the Scottish Borders and became a prolific scholar, poet and journalist in London. He is best remembered for his twelve colored Fairy Books and his retellings of folk tales and the Arabian Nights for children.
